About the Item
Mais Alma Marble Collection is a set of sculptures, the result of our study of forms and the art works we pay homage to in our studio. Les Demoiselles sculpture (small) is the result of handling three types of Brazilian marble: Victoria Falls, Moulin Rouge and Negroni.
In 1907, Picasso presented to some close friends the painting that is considered the precursor of the cubist movement, the work "Les Demoiselles D'Avignon". It opened the path to the presence of more than two dimensions and many styles on a single canvas. In this design piece we sought to reproduce the use of geometric shapes, so present in the cubist movement.
