This original vintage Studio Stoneware Object was designed by Otto Meier and produced in his own Studio in the 1960s in Bremen, Worpswede in Germany. It is made of solid very heavy stoneware pottery and has a very unique light green coloration and structure. the bottom is marked with typical Otto Meier Producer signature OM. a very collectible and very rare item of the Meier Collection. the object has a very sculptural form and in its size of 16,5cm in height and 20,5cm in diamter, it is very impressive.

Carlo Zauli is indisputably considered one of the most important sculptors of the twentieth century.
After having won the main awards in ceramics in the fifties, the early sixties saw him evolve towards a markedly sculptural interpretation of his Craft. In these years he developed his own artistic language, imbued with informal atmospheres intertwined with a harmonious but disruptive "naturalness": these are the years of growing international success. From 1958, the year in which the great high-reliefs were made for the Baghdad palace and the Kuwait State Printing Office, he saw his fame grow continually, up to the end of the seventies and eighties, throughout Europe, Japan , North America, where he realizes exhibitions and placed work permanently.
Carlo Zauli was born in 1926 in Faenza, where he died in 2002.
Instead of ornate platters and decorative vases, his work seemed to have emerged from the earth itself, with organic curves, jagged edges, cracks and fissures that reflected the artist’s keen connection with nature. It was this passion for the natural world that made his work revered in Japan.
Zauli first showed in the Japan as well in 1964 with the International Exhibition of Contemporary Ceramic Art that toured several top museums.
At the beginning of 1960s, Carlo Zauli enters an artistic period in which he could be defined 'a sculptor of vases.' He subjects his vases to a progressive process of geometrical synthesis that, combined with a sort of abnormal growth, turns them into true sculptures. Per Hammarström is one of Sweden’s most highly regarded ceramicists. Per’s work doesn’t conform to the Swedish style of simplicity; instead he loves colour and texture, and exploring the multi-faceted function of ceramics. Per began his training at the Gustavsbergs Porcelain Studio in 1978, which is sadly no longer in existence. In 1984 he opened his own studio in Strängnäs, and has worked in this manner ever since.
Per’s work is characterised by organic forms and his own distinctive glazes, often in bright colours and strong contrasts. His work is unique, each piece starting out as a roughly thrown form, which is worked and transformed into bowls that are characterised by their delicacy and translucency. The organic form is embodied in the textured ceramics of Per. His works are either made from stoneware or porcelain.
The inspiration of much of his work is the sea, but he also draws from flora and fauna; and the changing of the seasons. Horst Kerstan grew up in Frankfurt am Main, where he became acquainted with the manufacture of ceramic products through his father Walter Kerstan, who headed the "Ceramic Colors" department of Farbwerke Hoechst AG. After a porcelain painter apprenticeship, he worked from 1956 to 1957 as a porcelain painter in the porcelain manufactory of Hoechst AG, then from 1957 to 1959 in the ceramics department of the Werkkunstschule Offenbach (today: Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main) with Lore Kramer-Koehn, the wife of Frankfurt architect Ferdinand Kramer, the pottery to learn and incidentally at the College of Fine Arts, Frankfurt, the drawing.

This original vintage studio object set was designed by Rudi Stahl and produced in his own Studio in the 1970s in Germany. It is made of pottery and has a very unique brown tone etc. coloration. The bottom is marked with typical Stahl Producer signature. A very collectible and very rare item of the Stahl Collection. The object has a very sculptural form and in its size of 12 and 21cm in height, it is very impressive.
Straightforward and minimalistic design of the 1970s design era. This item is a wonderful addition to every modern home.

VITA Rudi Stahl:
Apprenticeship in pottery with Wim Mühlendyck (1936 journeyman's examination there), 1937 to 1939 studies at the State College for Ceramics in Höhr-Grenzhausen; from 1940 own workshop there; 1942 master craftsman examination; later he was chief master of the pottery guild of Rhineland-Palatinate. He received numerous awards, in 1975 Rudi Stahl (together with Wim Mühlendyck) was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon. Collaboration with, among others, Theodor Bogler.
