Impressive solid rosewood sculpture, organic form, with rich original patina.
The freestanding oblong shape flows visually, with a sinuous top to bottom curve, and a hole that adds to the flow and life of the piece.
Over the years, the wood has dried, resulting in the cracks you see, this is normal and consistent with the age of this item (1950s).
This sculpture was purchased from an estate in Nyack NY, it is unsigned and I cannot document the artist.
