The “Space Box” was designed by Ernesto Duran, as a creative way to enhance the uniqueness of meteorites and could also be used as a decorative piece. Thaddeus Wolfe, "Untitled", 2022
Located in New York, NY
Thaddeus Wolfe [American, b. 1979] Untitled, 2022 Glass 22.25 x 10 x 12.75 inches 56.5 x 25.4 x 32.4 cm Thaddeus Wolfe has developed a wholly original approach to sculpting glass. Combining techniques of glassblowing and casting, Wolfe achieves what would not otherwise be possible in the material--developing his signature vocabulary of angular, highly textured forms. His unique process begins by sculpting a form from broken and carved styrofoam pieces, using meticulous yet improvisitory methods. From this form, Wolfe generates a single-use plaster mold for casting the glass. Color and texture are achieved by layering different tints of glass onto a glass bubble, which is inflated into the cavity of the heated mold. After un-molding the piece, Wolfe carves and polishes certain surfaces to reveal the interior strata. The resulting works which he often refers to as Assemblages are part painterly, part geological. Wolfe has held residencies at Creative Glass Center of America Millville, NJ; Museum of Glass, Tacoma, WA; and Pilchuck Glass School, Stanwood, WA. His work is in the permanent collections of the Corning Museum of Glass, NY (where he was awarded the 2016 Rakow Commission); Indianapolis Museum of Art, IN; Musée de Arts...

Acanthe, a Unique Steel Blue Glass Art Work and Centrepiece by Paul Stopler
Located in London, GB
Acanthe is a cast glass artwork in a beautiful steel blue by the British artist Paul Stopler. With a smooth exterior, the interior is stepped into sections with ridged protruding "shelves" of glass, which are all created in the wax model from which this is cast. Using a complex series of processes, Stopler’s primary fascination is with the craft of lathe-turning waxes to produce unique cast-glass vessels. Made using the lost-wax technique, each of the pieces investigates the dialogue between its outer and inner surfaces; deeply cut exteriors projecting their changing mass onto internal cores and cut interiors illuminating the vessel's exterior with graduating tones. Each vessel is ground and polished to a satin finish, facilitating a soft interior view of light, tone and colour, with the rims being polished to a reflective finish for contrast. A single translucent color is chosen for each form for its potential to transmit changing hues and light accents; the deeper the mass of glass, the more saturated the color. Having studied at the Royal College of Art and previously assisted many other artists including Bruno Romanelli, Max jacquard, Colin Reid and Ann Robinson...

"Untitled Vessel 6" Coiled and Sewn Cotton Fiber Sculpture by Doug Johnston
Located in Brooklyn, NY
-Made in 2015 -cotton cord, and sewing thread. "Untitled (Vessel 6)" was made in 2015 as part of a body of work for my exhibition "what it is." It is a sculptural vessel-form object made by coiling and sewing cotton rope with an industrial zig-zag sewing machine. The piece is not made with a specific form in mind when started, so its shape emerges somewhat organically during its making. Multiple smaller, individual vessels are made, then joined together. More rope is coiled and sewn onto the new form, and new parts are incorporated and built upon from there. This piece features a large base sewn with black-dyed cotton rope, which acts as a visual and physical anchor for the object. The form is simultaneously architectural and creature-like while retaining a conceptual and actual openness. Since 2010 Doug Johnston has produced a wide range of functional and sculptural objects using a process of coiling and stitching rope using industrial sewing machines...
