About the Item
Mais Alma Marble Collection is a set of sculptures, the result of our study of forms and the art works we pay homage to in our studio. The São Paulo (medium) sculpture is the result of handling two types of Brazilian marble: Moulin Rouge and Negroni.
This piece is a tribute to Tarsila do Amaral's São Paulo (1924), which played a key role in the emergence of the modernist movement in Brazil. It features figures that convey the dynamism of the country's rapid modernization at that time. The intention was to bring this movement to the piece, with its bright colors and rounded shapes.
