About the Item

An incredible sculpture by an Italian artist from the 1970s-80s, signed with the enigmatic name COMPIANI, is a true wonder of contemporary art. Although not much is known about the artist, the sculpture itself speaks volumes through its captivating beauty and intriguing design. The sculpture depicts an anthropomorphic figure resembling a face, whose form is highly stylized with soft, flowing waves that create an almost ethereal sense of movement. The face is almost deformed and elongated. It is a depiction that invites reflection and evokes a deep emotional response. What makes this sculpture even more fascinating is the perception and one's own interpretation of the figure. This element adds a layer of vulnerability and authenticity to the work, as if the artist wanted to reveal the inner essence of the subject. The unfinished and brutal base of the sculpture is a deliberate artistic choice, a statement by the artist that the work is intentionally left almost unfinished. It adds a sense of rawness and immediacy to the work, inviting viewers to engage with its creative process. This Italian sculpture by the enigmatic artist COMPIANI is a testament to great elegance and sophistication. Its fluid and anthropomorphic contemporary style makes it a perfect fit for modern living rooms and a prized addition to any collector's treasure trove. Its visual impact is undeniable, drawing viewers into its enigmatic world and leaving a lasting impression that lingers in the mind long after it's been seen.

Biagio Romeo Woman Sculpture, Signed 1996
By Romeo
Located in Milano, IT
Beautiful bronze and wood sculpture designed in 1996, fine Italian manufacture. SIGNED. The base is made of lacquered black wood. This form serves as a pedestal for the actual sculpture. The main body is represented by an entirely nude bronze woman, kneeling. The woman is seated on a rock, on which the artist's signature is carved. The woman is represented in a contorted position: in fact, she is seated with one knee on the ground, while her entire weight pivots on the other. With one arm she touches the ground to keep her balance while with the other she touches her head, as if she wanted to be photographed. The woman is completely naked and we can see this from her obvious breasts, but her bottom is also visible. The woman seems to represent a person who wants to be looked at, proudly showing herself in her nudity. A hymn to female nudity and to the beauty and harmony of the body. The sculpture is very beautiful and suitable for decorating classy areas. Bibliography: Biagio Romeo...
