Set of 3 Time of Action by Chaeyoung Lee

$10,309.35per set

About

Set of 3 Time of Action by Chaeyoung Lee Materials: Ebonized and Carved Wood Dimensions: 100 x 100 x 50 cm Time of Action is a minimal and carefully crafted furniture collection created by South Korean-based designer Chaeyoung Lee. Time of Action series uses ebonizing and carving techniques that include time and experience to faithfully archive small parts of the present. It was intended to weigh the momentary process with ebonizing, which slowly reveals dark black through several coats, and carving, which forms a new texture with repetitive body movements. The layer of time completes a direct tactile experience beyond reason.

About the Maker

Galerie Philia Furniture

Galerie Philia is a recognized contemporary design and modern fine arts gallery representing world wide known designers and artists. The Galerie Philia exhibits a collection resulting from a rhizomatic research transcending formal, stylistic, national or historical barriers. The selected art works emanates from different cultures and periods, are incarnated in various and multiform mediums, and evoke multiple and changing interior worlds. The only criterion unifying this composite plurality is their esthetical qualities and the sense they convey. The Galerie Philia attempts in this way to build bridges between different artistic continents in order to enlighten art works endowed with a marked artistic depth.
