Tetsuo Harada (1949-2024),
"Surf – Sail – Junk – Wave – Birth – Profile," a series of six granite totems, 2002. Height 130 to 142 cm (granite alone : 30 to 45 × 23 to 27 × 4 cm).
Bibliography: Harada, by César Minoru Harada, 2005, p. 186.
Monograph created by his son in 2005.
Harada's work is a tribute to nature.
His childhood in Japan, marked by earthquakes, taught him that nature is powerful and fragile, and that humankind has few choices.
Tetsuo Harada (1949-2024) is best known for his career in France, which he developed from the 1990s onward. He is notably the originator of a concept called Earth Weaving, with ecological implications, which aims to restore harmony to the immediate environment.
A special tribute was paid to the sculptor Tetsuo Harada, highlighting the artistic and humanitarian commitment of the man known as the "Sculptor of Peace." 118th Artists' Salon
