About the Item
'Victoire', by American sculptor and printmaker Seena Donneson (1924-2020), was inspired by what she called 'fragments lost in time'. Her sculptural works in bronze have a controlled, yet accidental, quality, appearing ancient, yet modern, at the same time. Donneson studied at Pratt Institute and the Art Students League in NYC and her work is included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Brooklyn Museum and Princeton University.
