Unique on 1stdibs and possibly worldwide. It was in the early 20th century that meditation became known in Western society. Like many artists, the one who handcrafted the sculptures that were used to create these bookends probably traveled through Indonesia or India. These creative minds came back full of inspiration of all they had witnessed, because certainly back then, they entered a whole new world.
