XL Hammered Copper, Brass and Steel Artwork by Carlos Marinas, 1975

About the Item

A beautiful and very large sculpture made by Spanish artist Carlos Marinas in the 1970s. It is signed "C. Marinas 75". It was made for the Telefonica building in Madrid, Spain. This incredible sculpture is made of the highest quality hammered copper, brass and steel. The impressive size and the use of these strong materials creates an impressive style. Different materials, shapes and structures are combined in the most appealing way. The true eyecatcher in any scene! This one of a kind piece was used in the Telefonica building in Madrid. This is the chance to get a unique artwork to steal the show in any decor! The artist, Carlos Marinas, also made the famous Fazlur Khan sculpture in the Willis Tower (former Sears Tower) in Chicago, USA. This piece has the same impressive style! It remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. There are some dents to the ball shape in the centre.
