About

Embellish your desktop or a bookshelf with this large, antique hand-painted blue and white faience lion standing sculpture. Sculpted in Nancy, France, circa 1870, this piece resembles a Classic delft style with blue and white colors. The proud lion is fused to a candle holder which bares Latin markings on the front "non inultus premo," which means "not without crushed." The piece is attributed to Emile Galle. Measures: 11.5" W x 8" D x 18" H.
