19th Century French Patinated Copper Rooster Weather Vane with Cardinal Points

About the Item

This elegant antique weather vane was created in Normandy, France, circa 1860. The traditional copper sculpture features a classic swivel French chanticleer rooster standing on an arrow; below, the four points of the compass swivel according to wind direction. The piece is in excellent condition with the original patinated copper finish. A true one of a kind! The weather-vane stands on a contemporary base only for picture. Measures: 23" W x 17.5" D x 30" H.
