An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian sterling silver Old English pattern salad serving fork; an addition to our silver flatware collection. This exceptional antique George III sterling silver salad server fork has been crafted in the Old English pattern. The serving fork has six tines with a plain rounded drop. The anterior surface of the handle is embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved initials crest of a bear muzzled. The reverse surface of this sterling silver serving fork incorporates a pip to the terminal, in addition to a rounded heel to the bowl/drop. A fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver sweetmeat basket; part of our Georgian silverware collection. This antique Georgian sterling silver sweetmeat basket has an oval navette form onto a collet foot. The body of this sterling silver basket is embellished with a band of pierced decorated vertical pales accented with four foliate motifs. The basket is further ornamented with two bands of pierced evolute scrolling decoration with a scallop and circular motif decorated border. The upper rim and foot of the basket are encircled with applied bead decorated borders. This George III sterling silver basket is fitted with an applied bead decorated swing handle. The well of the basket is embellished with a bright cut engraved crest depicting out of a ducal coronet a wolf's head. A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver wine cooler made by Henry Chawner; an addition to our antique wine and drink related silverware collection This magnificent antique George III sterling silver wine cooler has a circular rounded form onto a shaped circular spreading foot. The surface of the cooler is embellished with exceptional chased floral and scrolling foliate decoration, all on a matte background. The decoration to the body incorporates a large scroll bordered cartouche to either side, each ornamented with a contemporary engraved coat of arms depicting firstly a chevron charged with three lions passant guardant, secondly in chief three cross-crosslet and to the base a lion passant. This antique wine cooler is fitted with an exceptional pair of cast silver handles realistically modelled in the form of an eagle with raised wings, perched on a large scrolling leaf design. This impressive cooler is supported by a cast circular shaped spreading foot embellished with further floral and foliate decoration, accented with a large scrolling border to the rim. This exceptional Georgian wine cooler retains the original, hallmarked detachable liner and push fit cover. The cast sterling silver torus-shaped cover is ornamented with large floral and foliate designs, with an opposing scrolling border paralleling the shaped rim.
