Art Deco Group of Panthers by the French Artist Dominique Jean Baptiste Hugues

$4,800

About

Beautiful bronze Art Deco group of two panthers by the French artist Dominique Jean Baptiste Hugues. The sculpture has a lovely patina and stands on a Portoro marble base with onyx inlay, France 1930. The artist is known for work with animals like panthers, lions. Unusual to see one piece with two animals walking together. Both in a beautiful bronze patina and bronze sculpture. This rendering is what you would expect, a curved tail and a prowling pose. Both showing a similar stance by this listed artist.
