About the Item
A bronze lost wax cast statue of a parrot leaning on a tree branch with dark patina. Created with the traditional technique of the lost-wax (à la cire perdue) which allows for great precision and finesse in the details, this statue features a parrot perched on a tree branch and leaning down, his head turned to the side. He is focused on a scene invisible to us and his body language reveals his natural curiosity. The finesse of the details is particularly visible in the treatment of his plumage and his eyes and tip of the beak are discreetly accented with gilt. The small tree on which he is perched is firmly rooted in the ground. Boasting a dark patina, this lost wax cast bronze statue of a parrot will make for a great addition to any garden décor where its sturdy construction ensures it will last for years.
