About the Item

Rare sculpture from the Brutalist period designed in the 1950s, of fine Italian manufacture. The sculpture stands on a cubic base made of travertine, very elegant. Above this form is a brass label with the artist's signature. Centrally stands the statue of what would appear to be a mythological bird or chimera. It is made entirely of bronze, perfectly in patina. In fact, one can clearly distinguish the arched and pointed beak typical of birds, one can also clearly see its wings, worked in such a way that the feathers are clearly visible. The tail is also made in the same way, so that the feathers are clearly visible. There are two legs and at the end there are legs, which have a human-like appearance. Above the neck is a very elegant feathered crest. The sculpture is very rare and elegant, suitable for environments steeped in history.

Biagio Romeo Sculpture Resine Mesozoic Era, Signed, 1995
By Romeo
Located in Milano, IT
Beautiful bronze and wood sculpture designed in 1995, fine Italian manufacture. Signed. The base is made of lacquered black wood. This form serves as a pedestal for the actual sculpture. The main body is a sculpture representing the Mesozoic era, in fact we see the sculpture of a kind of animal reminiscent of a fish or a marine mollusc, with scales and fins very different from those of today. Clearly the Mesozoic era harks back to a time when animals were evolving and have continued to evolve subsequently. The sculpture is very beautiful and suitable for decorating classy areas.
