Dolphin Fish Metal Bronze Door Stop, Art Nouveau Vintage European 1920s
About the Item
A beautiful and substantial Nautical, cast metal, antique doorstop with original patina finish. Depicting a mythological grotto dolphin style sea serpent coiled around Poseidon's trident which is then mounted on a multi tiered classical plinth. This is certainly a powerful image that brings the allure of the mythological Gods to mind. Fish itself is approx. 16.5" high. Perfect for a beachfront or coastal home, as every one has a door that needs to be stopped. Found at an Estate Sale in Bologna, Italy. Nice addition to any home.
