Hugo Franz Kirsch Eagle Ceramic Rare

About the Item

Hugo Franz Kirsch (1873-1961 in Vienna) was one Austrian Pettler and ceramist of the Wiener Werkstätte. After training at the Teplitz technical school and the Munich arts and crafts school, he studied at the Viennese arts and crafts school. In 1906 he started his own ceramic workshop. Cherry mainly produced small sculptures in bronze and ceramics: Biedermeier figures in cool colors, animals, nudes, also portraits. He also created vases in strict black and white or strong colors. Kirsch showed his work at the Kunstschau Vienna 1908 and at other important exhibitions. Max Fabianis Bamberg house in Ljubljana shows ceramic reliefs of bearded men under the roof structure, which come from Hugo Franz Kirsch. Cherry's own villa in Vienna Wall is under today Monument protection. He was on Wall cemetery buried.
