"Journey's End" Sea Turtle Monumental Bronze Sculpture by Kent Ullberg



This is the large sdigned bronze and #7 of an edition of 20. This sculpture can be seen in public at the capital building on the Cayman Islands and Jane Hittler Park on Marco Island, FL. This piece is the of the same series and is the same large scale. Kent Ullberg is a Swedish-American sculptor. Educated at Konstfack in Stockholm. He lives and works in South Padre Island, Corpus Christi, Texas, USA, and has a studio in Loveland, Colorado. Ullberg has worked with a large number of monumental sculptures that are placed on squares around the world. Kemp's ridley sea turtle, also called the Atlantic ridley sea turtle, is the rarest species of sea turtle and is critically endangered. It is one of two living species in the genus Lepidochelys.
