Hoodoo Stacks, Sculptural Concrete Planters by OPIARY (H50"-78")
By Robert Remer
Located in Brooklyn, NY
Opiary is a Brooklyn-based biophilic design and production studio. We integrate nature in each of our designs, incorporating live greenery and organic shapes into bespoke furniture, planters, and sculpture. Through the ethos of biophilia, our work reflects the shifting, yet timeless relationship between humans and nature.
These modern, elongated towers are an organic, elegant, and chic way to introduce nature and sculpture into your space. They are named after the geological term for tall thin rock spires protruding from the bottom of an arid drainage basin or badland. Unlike spires, hoodoos have a variable thickness often described as having a "totem pole-shaped body". Hoodoos are common to the Great Plains...

Tall French Sculptural Iron Abstract Art Piece, circa 1930s-1940s
Located in Atlanta, GA
A tall French sculptural iron art piece in a motif of rings from the 1930s-1940s. This unique sculpture from France, standing at approximately 6.6 feet in height, has a playful abstract vertical form made up of a series of rings, with circles clustering together making ball-like formations at the top and lower ends, and supported with a larger ring-shaped base. Within the center of this column-like structure, more circular rings are set in horizontal fashion, appearing to be suspended, reminiscent of steps connecting to upper and lower sections. This piece has been constructed of iron and has a wonderfully aged patina. This whimsical French sculpture would not only be fantastic on a patio, but also a great way to fill an otherwise bare corner in your home with great height, texture and conversational...
