About the Item

This amazing hand blown Scavo Murano Glass Tapir was created by Antonio Da Ros in the 1960s and manufactured by Vetreria Gino Cenedese, Murano, Italy. 1960s. It is a rare piece of glass art with scavo surface treatment. Antonio da Ros was Cenedese's art director in the 1950s and 1960s and he is famous for his designs for fantastic vases and glass animals in the Scavo or Sommerso technique. This charming small piece of murano art glass is in very good condition with no cracks, chips or repairs and has the original Cenedese manufacturers label.
