Questa opera realistica, realizzata in terracotta, nasce dalle mani dell'artista Angelo Zanella, artista contemporaneo dedicato alla scultura e alla pittura.
Capace di realizzare dipinti di qualunque dimensione, un giorno, quasi per gioco, trovandosi un blocco di argilla in Studio, si mise alla prova modellando questo materiale, proprio per creare una testa di scimmia che fosse fruibile sia appoggiandola che appendendola ad una parete.
Si rese conto che la sua capacità andava ben oltre il pennello e realizzò una serie di "ritratti" di Bonobo, ognuna con dettagli ed espressione diversa.
