19th Century French Provincial Hand Painted Terracotta Woman Bust Sculpture
About the Item
This beautiful bust would make any wall interesting and unique, adding a touch of feminine, old-world charm. Crafted in southern France circa 1880, the large antique wall-hanging statue depicts an older woman dressed in a blue top with brass-colored buttons down the front, a brown shawl, and a green renaissance-style headdress, holding a petite pink rose to her chest. Made of terracotta and fired with a shiny glaze, this realistic and striking piece is in excellent condition with rich colors; it would beautifully adorn a space between two windows, the wall of a study, or even an outdoor patio space. Comes with wire in the back for easy and sturdy installation.
