The artist introduces, for the first time, the repeated use of sociological themes of current relevance through a visually immediate language, represented in her art works with a contemporary pop aesthetic.
In contemporary art, the interpretation of the seven deadly sins offers artists an opportunity to explore the complex nuances of humanity.
Norma is an artwork representing sloth in the Moor’s series of heads titled “The Seven Deadly Sins”. The immediate reference is to a fascinating figure, such as the iconic Marilyn Monroe, with her seductive gaze and the sky-blue eyeshadow that gives her a distinctive appearance, a direct nod to the aesthetics of 1960s pop art, that remains relevant today. Her image is a blend of charm and unique personality, visible in details that she belives can exude a glamorous aura, like the famous necklace from the film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” which not only adds an elegant touch but also serves as a reference to Audrey Hepburn’s persona.
