Faïence Sculpture by Jacques Adnet

A superb Art Deco turtledove by Jacques Adnet in ivory-colored céramique craquelée, originally presented at the landmark Paris show which gave Art Deco its name, the 1925 Exposition des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes. Three years later, Adnet would become the director of the Compagnie des Arts Français, and gradually assume his role as a central figure in 20th century French design.

Signed ADNET on front of base.
