France, Circa 1880s A unique work, realistically cast model of an ormolu of a resting hand on a draped base, raised on an oval beveled, polished red marble and bronze pedestal base. This work is unmarked. Overall measurements: 5-inches deep x 6-Inches wide x 3-inches high The sculpture alone measures 4.5 -Inches wide x 3.5-inches deep x 2-Inches high .

For sale a magnificent early 20th Century gilt bronze sculpture, cast using the Lost Wax (in French, 'Cire Perdue') process. This fine sculpture is a cast of Richard Alexander Hudnut's hand and was produced by the renowned Montagutelli Frères foundry in Paris in 1912.
