About the Item
19th century French bronze statue of Maiden with Lyre depicts a beautiful woman in a classical pose, reflecting on the day's events, or life in general, with a faraway gaze in her eyes. Alongside is her lyre, ready when inspiration calls. Note the exquisite detail in her gown, and the flowers in her hair! Created in bronze with a polished finish for the maiden's skin and hair, and a patinaed bronze finish for the remainder of the composition. Castings such as this work of art were produced in significant quantities and are attributed to a variety of artists, and were designed to celebrate beauty and nature in their simplest forms. Set upon a chamfered oak block, this work will make an excellent decorative accent for your timeless decor.
