A 19th Century Patinated Bronze after Moreau on Slate Base
About the Item
Bronze statue with dark colored patination featuring a seated classical lady after James Pradier (1790-1852). She is set on an oval polished slate marble base. This bronze is inspired by Sappho, a marble statue realized by Pradier in 1852, which is currently conserved at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. Signed: Moreau.
