About the Item

19th century Staffordshire figure group of a couple who appear to be courting sitting on a bench under an arbor with leaves and groups of flowers. The couple appears to be sitting holding hands and with his arm encircling her. They look as if they have just snuck away for air in the garden during a party, and perhaps a little privacy! This is a large piece of Staffordshire and would look great in any setting.
