After Franz Bergman, Bronze Buddha Case That Opens to Expose Nude Goddess
About the Item
After Franz Bergman Vienna Austria bronze with original patina finish to the bronze Buddha. Open the Buddha to reveal a cold painted gold nude female figure. Bears the Bergman signature , B inside a two handled vase, and Namgreb, which is Bergman spelled backwards. Bergman used the ‘nom de plume’ when the subject matter was somewhat erotic in nature. He did this so as not to upset his more conservative clientele or family members. We are not in possession of a COA, therefore we are only listing this piece as attributed to Bergman.
