About the Item
Very nice bronze sculpture depicting a nude girl kneeling.
It is signed "A Olson" and also with the foundry mark "Cire perdue J.N Rosengren Limhamn". Patinated in dark brown.
Julius Nicolaus Rosengren was the founder of Rosengren's in 1909.
The first artistic sculpture was conceived in 1912. J N Rosengrens son Gunnar Rosengren got his education at Nouvelle Fonderie Artistique (Valsuani) in Paris.
This sculpture has been conceived with "Cire perdue" casting.
Cire Perdue
Lost-wax process, also called cire-perdue, method of metal casting in which molten metal is poured into a mold that has been created by means of a wax model. Once the mold is made, the wax model is melted and drained away.
