About the Item
A charming and whimsical antique cold painted bronze in the Orientalist taste, attributed to Franz Bergmann, Austria circa 1910.
The bronze depicts a young Arab boy lying on his front and gazing at his campfire, above is a tripod support with a cooking pot suspended above the fire.
The bronze is stamped underneath "Austria", condition is very good. There are many copies and base metal (spelter) versions of these cold-painted bronzes, this is guaranteed to be an antique bronze.
