Antique French Bronze Statue on Marble

A turn of the century, Italian marble ball on a small black wooden base. The marble is polished and it is in great condition.

The marble is Beige with a pink cast to it. Romanian artist Demetre Chiparus (1886-1937). Demetre Chiparus was considered one of the main sculptors of the Art Deco movement, his ability to imply movement worked well with the playful dancers he so often sculpted.
