About the Item

Bearded Arab in traditional desert clothing with a flowing cloak and a white cloth tied around his head, his ankle-length shirt pulled up while seated and fastened with a belly band, sitting on a camel with a magnificent saddle and harness, shooting with his rifle into the mouth of a lion that has jumped up from the front onto the chest of the camel turning away and is clinging to the saddlecloth. Patinated bronze, coloured, Bergmann signet on the right hind leg of the camel, at the top between the tassels of the cloth. Excellent and detailed quality of the composition, very lifelike representation, as is typical for Viennese bronze art.
