About the Item

Bronze plaque in high relief of Napoleon crossing the Alps after the famous painting by Jacques-Louis David (30 August 1748-29 December 1825. A fine and very detailed cast with a lovely original deep brown patination. J L David in the cast to top right and to lower left Bonaparte Annibal and Karolus Magnus celebrating the feat of these great men in crossing the Alps.
