Bronze sculpture of a young blacksmith by sculptor Franz Iffland. The large figurative sculpture depicts a working blacksmith. In one hand he holds a hammer, in the other a large gear wheel. The young man is dressed in a typical blacksmith's apron and clogs on his feet. The sculpture stands on a marble plinth, on the lower side it is unfortunately slightly bumped. Franz Carl Wilhelm Ernst Iffland was a German sculptor and painter. He lived and worked in Berlin. Mainly he created mythological bronze figures and portrait busts. At the end of the 19th century he exhibited his works at numerous exhibitions. A magnificent sculpture by an important artist of the 19th century. Weight: 21,5 kg
