Bronze sculpture “Diana of Gabies”, after Praxiteles – 19th century

About the Item

Bronze cast with a brown patina, a replica of the Roman marble sculpture attributed to Praxiteles (circa 395-326 BC), discovered during excavations in 1792 at Gabii, Italy. This work depicts Artemis, goddess of the hunt and nature, wearing a short chiton with wide sleeves. She is depicted about to fasten her cloak.
