About the Item
This superb bust representing an actress, most likely Sarah Bernhardt, is a typical representation of the art nouveau style. Created by Paul François BERTHOUD, it is a very elegant marriage of bronze and marble. The very precise bronze casting supports the finely sculpted Carrara marble portrait. In very good condition, note a very slight chip in the hair. Additional photos on request.
