Chinoiserie pagoda. Very decorative Italian painted plaster and wood three-tiered pagoda alla Mongiardino emanating from marine inspired grotto base with four masks issuing water into large shell basin with sporting octopus, dolphin and other sea-life; rising in further pilastered sections with additional shell basins and chinoiserie panels terminating in flared pagoda top with tassels. Italy, 20th century.
