About the Item

Bronze Statue of Cleopatra Reclining on Red Marble Base - Classical Sculpture of Great Charm This elegant bronze statue depicting Cleopatra in a reclining position is an extraordinary celebration of the most iconic Egyptian queen in history. Crafted with refined sculptural mastery, the figure is fixed on a prestigious red marble base, which lends solidity and nobility to the entire composition. The juxtaposition of finely chiseled bronze and intensely veined marble creates a striking chromatic and textural contrast. Cleopatra: Power, Elegance and History Queen of Egypt and last ruler of the Ptolemaic dynasty, Cleopatra VII was a central political and diplomatic figure in the transition from the Republic to the Roman Empire. Known for her strategic intelligence and ties to Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, she played a crucial role in the events that led to the rise of Octavian Augustus. This sculpture captures not only the regal beauty, but also the charisma and strength that made Cleopatra an enduring legend. High Quality Sculptural Details The statue shows Cleopatra seated on a bed, wrapped in clothing typical of the era, rendered with attention to the smallest details: fabric folds, facial expression, and natural pose are made with extreme precision. The patinated bronze enhances the forms and gives depth, while the red marble base with its smooth surface and square cut lends classic elegance and structural stability. Each element is designed to convey beauty, history and refinement.

Biagio Romeo Woman Sculpture, Signed 1996
By Romeo
Located in Milano, IT
Beautiful bronze and wood sculpture designed in 1996, fine Italian manufacture. SIGNED. The base is made of lacquered black wood. This form serves as a pedestal for the actual sculpture. The main body is represented by an entirely nude bronze woman, kneeling. The woman is seated on a rock, on which the artist's signature is carved. The woman is represented in a contorted position: in fact, she is seated with one knee on the ground, while her entire weight pivots on the other. With one arm she touches the ground to keep her balance while with the other she touches her head, as if she wanted to be photographed. The woman is completely naked and we can see this from her obvious breasts, but her bottom is also visible. The woman seems to represent a person who wants to be looked at, proudly showing herself in her nudity. A hymn to female nudity and to the beauty and harmony of the body. The sculpture is very beautiful and suitable for decorating classy areas. Bibliography: Biagio Romeo...

Egyptian Antique Bronze Seated Statue of Harpokrates
Located in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire
An interesting and unusual Egyptian bronze seated figure portraying the youthful god Harpokrates (Horus the child). The figure sits unclothed with legs bent and both arms resting by his sides. His face is indistinctly molded with a wide nose and with a sidelock of hair. He wears a Pschent crown. The figure, which is removable, has a later carved and fitted oak throne. The figure has an all over black patina. The figure does have some antique age although may be an Egyptian revival piece and would benefit from further research. We are therefore offering this as a later example and priced accordingly. Harpokrates was one of the most popular deities in the Egyptian pantheon. He was the offspring...
