Lost wax casting. Marble base. The god of love is distinguished from classical mythology by the quiver of arrows on its back and by the wings that are butterfly instead of feathered, the most frequent attribute. This theme was very common in the French bronzes of the 19th century (remember, for example, those of the Moreau). Size: 17 x 17 x 45 cms.
