A fine 19th century patinated bronze sculptured titled 'La Priere' or 'the prayer' signed for Jean-Louis Nicholas Jaley, and dated 1831. It is also fully signed by the famous fondeur barbedienne on the moulding of the base " F. Barbedienne, Fondeur" He was a French sculpture, and was the pupil of his father Louis Jaley and Pierre Cartellier. A very finel bronze.
