About the Item

Exceptional polychrome glazed ceramic totem pole by Marcel Giraud, Vallauris Rare, large ceramic piece by Vallauris artist Marcel Giraud. The totem represents a multi-armed creature on two legs. The enamel work is magnificent. The ceramic is decorated with scarified motifs. Its size makes it a real eye-catcher. It invokes the imaginary, indian divinities and fantastic creatures. This is a superb ceramic. It is in very good condition. Note two original firing cracks on the glaze of the two feet, which are on the surface and do not call into question the integrity of the piece. The ceramic measures 62 cm high and 38 cm wide. The top of the ceramic fits in and out of the two feet. It is signed.
