  • Freaklab Trio Palombari Made Entirely by Hand in Ceramic
    By Freaklab
    Located in Modica, RG
The Palombari by Freaklab fully represent the meaning of his art and continuous research and the technique of majolica and terracotta. The trio of Palombari are respectively 35cm, 45cm and 50cm tall. Divers live in the submerged world, from what? from anything that does not give space to their desires, projects and rights. Their desire for freedom is evident from the folded bars. These Men and Women want to escape and have their say by expressing the freedom of their thoughts in their dreams. Birds are a very strong symbol of freedom and being 'under water' or in any other place where they don't feel comfortable, they want to find their dimension and their habitat. The artist chose the name Freaklab because he has always created works tending towards the monstrous, the different, enriched by characterizing, exaggerated and disturbing elements, which make it inappropriately pleasant for contemplative and attentive observation. From my island...

    Located in Catania, Sicilia
An Hand-crafted Terracotta Sculpture of an Old Man Bust in original patina with signs of use and age hand-cratfted in Sicily in the first half of 20th century. This terracotta of an old man bust, is a remarkable piece of art with historical and artistic significance. The portrayal of an old man bust in terracotta can convey a sense of wisdom, experience, and the passage of time. It may capture the unique characteristics and expressions of an elderly individual, reflecting the artist's ability to capture the nuances of human facial features and emotions. The original patina on the sculpture indicates the natural aging process that the terracotta has undergone over time.
