French Art Nouveau Pewter Figural Centerpiece by Maignan
About the Item
This wonderful French late 19th century Art Nouveau centerpiece features three sensuous maidens/muses dancing in a tight circle. The period pewter center is beautifully sculpted with complete figured maidens hand in hand & touching heads as they spiral around the footed bowl base. The sculpture is signed “MAIGNAN” & the undersurface of the base is stamped with a French shield with initials SVM interlaced.
