Goldscheider Polychrome Life-Size Figural Modelled as a North African Boy

About the Item

Wearing a fez and standing by a small stool, raised on a circular base, stamped with maker's mark. Friedrich Goldscheider and his successors were by far the most important publishers of terracotta art, both by the quality and quantity of their production. Editions of the Golscheider family have long since gained international renown and are the subject of numerous collections in Europe, the United States and Japan. He exhibited in all major events in Austria but also at the World Expositions abroad where he was rewarded many times.
