A Very Impressive Early 20th Century Italian Marble, Onyx and Alabaster Figural Sculpture Lamp by Professor Libero Gremigni The beautiful Art Deco figural lamp depicting an Egyptian Revival dancing girl holding aloft a carved bowl shaped lamp shade. The woman is made of marble, her dress is made of onyx and the shade is made from alabaster, all standing upon a matching marble pedestal at an overall height of 95 inches. This sculpture is the largest and most important of all these models. Inscribed L. Gremigni to the base. Professor Libero Gremigni Libero Gremigni was an Italian artist known for his sculptures, particularly illuminated Art Deco alabaster works. He is recognized as a great turn of the century sculptor with many famous pieces including “The Water Carrier”.
