Italian, 1858–1941 Carrara Marble Sculpture "Un Angelo" by Emilio Fiaschi

About the Item

A very fine 19th century Italian Carrara marble sculpture depicting a wonderful angel, original carved marble, by Emilio Fiaschi (Italian, 1858-1941). The intricately carved marble figure of the angel reflects the majesty of the sculpture and the sensual pose is what makes this work of art original. Fiaschi's witty and sensual depiction of the enchanting pose of the angel posing freely with his hands outstretched and his substantial wings makes this one of his finest works. Signed: E. Fiaschi, Florence, around 1890.
