Just Andersen, rare figure of a merman and fish in "disko" metal. 1940's. Model number D1679. Marked. In excellent condition. Dimensions: Width 12.0 cm. x Height 9.5 cm. Disko metal is an alloy that has been used for art objects. Its precise composition is not known, but it consists of tin, lead, and antimony. The alloy, which was invented by Just Andersen, is named after Disko Bay in Greenland.
